How does The Main Character Book work?
Tell us about your hero: their name, a photo, and a few funny details. Our story engine generates everything: the title, the storyline and all the artwork (and it's genuinely funny). Pick the idea you like best, preview the real cover and opening page for free, choose your edition, and place your order.
How long does it take to get the book?
The printed comic typically arrives in 7-12 working days with free Standard delivery, or 5-7 working days with Expedited (£12). Your free digital edition lands in your inbox before the printed copy arrives.
What is the size of the book?
Our comics are printed in full colour on high quality paper at 6.14 x 9.21 inches. The Deluxe Edition is 32 pages, perfect-bound like a proper graphic novel. The Standard Edition is 20 pages in classic saddle-stitch comic binding.
Will the character really look like them?
Yes. Our illustration engine draws them into every panel from a single photo, and a human editor checks every page before anything prints. Clear, front-facing photos give the best likeness.
What kind of photo should I upload?
One clear photo where the face is well lit, front-facing and not covered by sunglasses or hats. Phone selfies work brilliantly. The better the photo, the stronger the likeness.
What if I don't like the preview?
Hit regenerate and get a fresh set of story ideas, or walk away entirely. You only pay once you've seen the real cover and opening page and you're happy.
What is your return policy?
Every book is personalised and made to order, so change-of-mind returns aren't possible once production starts. But if your book arrives damaged, misprinted or different from the preview you approved, contact us within 30 days and we will reprint it or refund you in full. No return postage, no fuss.
What do you do with the photo?
We use it only to create your comic, store it securely while we work on your book, and delete it after fulfilment. We never sell it, share it, or use it to train AI. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Is there customer support if I need help?

Is the book intended for commercial use?
No. The comics you create are gag gifts intended purely for fun and entertainment. They are not meant to be taken seriously and shouldn't be used commercially or as a source of factual information. They exist to bring a smile to someone's face and make a memorable, hilarious gift.
