Refund policy

Every comic is written, illustrated and printed specifically for one person, so we handle refunds a little differently from an ordinary shop, and a lot more generously than we have to.

You approve it before you pay

You see the real cover and the opening page of your actual comic before any money changes hands. If it doesn't make you laugh, walk away. It costs you nothing.

Damaged, misprinted or wrong

If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or different from the preview you approved, email gift@themaincharacterbook.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the problem. We will reprint and reship it free of charge, or refund you in full. No return postage, no forms, no fuss.

Personalised goods and cancellation

Because each book is personalised, the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply once production has started. If you need to correct a detail (a name spelling, the wrong photo), contact us as soon as possible after ordering. If your book has not yet been approved for print, we will fix it for free.

Digital edition

The free digital edition is part of your order and is not refundable separately once delivered.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer, including your rights where goods are faulty or not as described.
