Welcome to The Main Character Book (themaincharacterbook.com). By using our website or ordering a personalised comic book, you agree to these terms.

What we sell

We create made-to-order personalised comic books. Stories and artwork are generated with the help of artificial intelligence from the details and photo you provide, then reviewed by our team before printing. Every book is unique and produced specifically for you.

Your content

When you upload a photo and answers, you confirm that you have the right to use them, including permission from the person pictured where that person is not you. You grant us a licence to use this content solely to create, produce and deliver your book. We never use your photo or answers for anything else, and we do not use them to advertise without your explicit permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to upload photos of people without their consent, images of minors without parental consent, or content that is unlawful, offensive or infringes anyone's rights. We may decline and refund any order at our discretion.

Entertainment purposes

Our books are gag gifts created for fun and entertainment. Stories are fictional comedy and are not to be taken seriously, used commercially, or treated as a source of factual information.

Previews, pricing and payment

You see the real cover and opening page of your comic before paying. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely by Shopify Payments.

Delivery

Delivery estimates are set out in our Shipping policy. A free digital edition is included with every printed order and is delivered by email.

Cancellations and personalised goods

Because every book is personalised and made to order, the statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply once production has begun. Our Refunds & Replacements policy explains what we do if anything is wrong with your book.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a UK consumer. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
